Originally from Middlebury, Vermont, Kate moved to Northern Virginia during her early teens. Early on, she displayed a passion for both art and observing others, dedicating her teenage years to shadowing local bands, capturing their essence on film, and developing photos in the darkroom.

 

While maintaining her love for photography, Kate's journey evolved into digital realms. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Photography from George Mason University, where her focus blended Anthropology and Photography. Despite her initial focus on musicians, Kate gradually shifted towards capturing individuals, delving into headshots, branding, and event photography.

 

Kate's photographic style is distinctly documentary, emphasizing candid moments. She often approaches her subjects from a distance, allowing organic moments to unfold and be authentically captured.
